About the Farm

Blibberhill is a small, working family farm of approximately 234 acres.

We grow barley, wheat and potatoes. The barley is used for whisky making or cattle feed depending on quality. We have a small herd of of suckler cows who calve in spring. The cattle are mostly Limosin cross (french breed). We also rent out some ground usually for potatoes or barley. Brian works off farm for most of the year as well as seeing to everything at home.

The farm is also a stop-off point for greylag geese travelling north or south (depending on the time of year). Indeed the name Blibberhill comes from the word 'blibber', which was used to describe the noise the geese made with their beaks when they were searching for food in water.
